Y201-G is the 4G Cat.1 model in the Y201 mini DTU family. It is used when a serial device must send data through a cellular network instead of Ethernet or Wi-Fi. Typical sites include meters, small PLCs, environmental stations, pump controls and remote cabinets where wired networking is unavailable.
Best Fit
- Remote RS232, RS485 or TTL devices that need 4G data access.
- Meter reading, environmental monitoring, building automation and water equipment.
- Projects that need transparent transmission plus basic edge data formatting.
Key Features
- LTE Cat.1 cellular uplink with mainstream FDD/TDD bands listed in the datasheet.
- Four Socket channels per serial port: A / B / C / D.
- TCP, UDP, HTTP, MQTT, peer-to-peer transmission and SMS transparent transmission.
- Modbus active polling and JSON reporting for easier platform integration.
- Hardware and software watchdogs, offline cache, remote AT and HTTP upgrade.

Before Ordering
Confirm carrier bands and SIM/APN requirements before deployment. Cellular projects fail more often from SIM and band mismatch than from the converter itself.
