Y208-R is the high-density Ethernet DTU in the Yengear serial gateway range. It brings up to eight independent RS232 or RS485 channels onto IP networks while keeping each field bus separate. It is a better fit than stacking several small converters when a cabinet already has many meters, relays, controllers or serial instruments.

Ordering Notes
Choose the variant by serial interface mix: 8 RS232, 8 RS485, or 4 RS232 + 4 RS485. If the cabinet has both old RS232 instruments and RS485 buses, confirm the channel layout before ordering. Nobody enjoys rewiring a full cabinet twice.
