Y201-L is the LoRa model in the Y201 mini DTU family. It replaces short-distance serial wiring with long-range LoRa transparent transmission, especially where pulling cable is expensive or inconvenient. It is not a cloud gateway by itself; it is a wireless serial link for field data backhaul.
Best Fit
- Point-to-point or relay LoRa links between serial devices.
- Power, transportation, fire protection, meteorology, agriculture, mining and property management sites.
- Low-power remote nodes where wiring is harder than configuration.
Key Features
- 410 to 493 MHz LoRa band with up to about 5 km open-area range.
- Broadcast, fixed-point, master-slave and relay networking modes.
- Transparent mode by default, AT command mode for configuration.
- Packet forwarding by length or inter-character interval.
- Encryption string setting through AT+KEY, 1 to 16 characters.

Before Ordering
The specification document lists TTL as the standard serial interface. If you need RS232 or RS485, please confirm the hardware variant before ordering. LoRa range also depends heavily on antenna height, obstacles and local interference.
